Hold your horses – the XPERIA X10 migration to Eclair 2.1 hasn't begun yet. However Sony Ericsson released a major firmware update for their Android flagship improving its performance and stability.

So while you won't be getting much in terms of new features, there are very good reasons to accept the Over-the-air update, pushed to your XPERIA X10. Network data connection and Wi-Fi will both do the trick of downloading it, depending on your preferences.

social gaming platform for iPhone OS Apple previews Game Center

Apple just announced Game Center, which is a social gaming network for the iPhone — it sounds a lot like Xbox Live, actually. It's has a friend system, leaderboards, and achievements — and we're guessing it'll blow up out of the gate, given how many games are on the platform. It's being previewed in iPhone OS 4 right now, and it'll launch later this summer. We're hunting for more info, we'll let you know!

After Consumer Behavior-Based Ads Goes Lawmakers

The push for proper net neutrality legislation has, at least temporarily, run aground following a decision from a Federal Appeals Court that said the FCC had no authority to regulate service providers. But the fight for consumer rights on the Web doesn't stop with slapping Comcast on the wrist for blocking BitTorrent. New Search Results Layout, Google Facelift Adds Updated Logo

Simplicity and navigability reign supreme on Google, but the site has recently introduced a new format to select users. Google is now incrementally implementing those changes to its search results page, and the New York Times grabbed some screen shots of the updated system. While the new scheme may initially appear needlessly confusing and busy, the upgrades definitely include a few awesome, highly desirable features.
