Samsung's Stunt
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Mobile phones, Portable device. on March 9, 2010
Looking for a rightful successor to your now-aging SCH-R211? Samsung and Cricket would like you to look no further than the SCH-R100 Stunt, a dead ringer for the candybar of the same name that launched on MetroPCS back in December of last year. It turns out this is a little bit more than your average ultra-basic phone, though: Cricket says this device is introducing Bluetooth to the lowest tier of its lineup, a particularly useful feature now that using the handset while driving is a no-no in m……
review: Motorola Devour
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Mobile phones, Multimedia, Portable device. on March 9, 2010
While Motorola's vanilla-Android Droid has become the most recognizable Android device on the market — thanks in part to a bombastic ad campaign — Motorola's primary focus has been on its own custom Blur UI. At least, if quantity of devices are any indication. Hitting Verizon just as the Blur-powered Backflip heads to AT&T, the new Motorola Devour is an odd cross section of the “consumery” Backflip and Cliq, and the high-end Droid slider. We've been playing with the phone for ……
comes with make up, Samsung S7070 Diva hits UK stores
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Mobile phones on March 4, 2010
The furniture-inspired Samsung S7070 Diva with its quilted back is in UK stores now. While the diamond-shaped center key on the front tries to reinforce the feel of luxury, the social networking integration and the Wish List application aim to keep ladies occupied.
The Samsung S7070 Diva runs the traditional Samsung TouchWiz on its 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, but its fashion-conscious design sets it apart from the usual suspects. The S7070 Diva supports microSD cards up to 8GB, has DNSe (though there's ……
looks pretty much the same, New LG watch phone pictured
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Mobile phones, Portable device. on March 4, 2010
It seems that the insanely expensive LG GD910 wristwatch phone will be getting a successor. The evidence is quite solid – the new watch phone posed for some live shots during the LG Digital Experience in Brazil.
The new LG wristwatch phone
As you can see from the photos the new gadget resembles its predecessor and remains on the thick side. The two “major” differences in the design are the oval edges and the LG logo position. The Bluetooth headset also looks the same as those supplied with the G……![]()

The mysterious BlackBerry Slider poses for close pictures
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Mobile phones, Portable device. on March 4, 2010
The first clear images of the BlackBerry's pioneer slider leaked online. The mysterious device sports touchscreen, optical trackpad, sliding full QWERTY keyboard and runs on BlackBerry OS 6.
There is little info about the specs yet since the prototype appearing on the pictures below had a faulty battery and couldn't power on. However even that battery turned out to be unseen before in a BlackBerry device. Its model is FX-1 with 1050 mAh of capacity. We said unseen, not impressive, right?

Posted by thumpad.com in General, Multimedia, New Media, Portable device. on February 22, 2010
We know 3D isn't for everyone, but if you've got your heart set on jumping that bandwagon nice and early, here's a review for you. The folks over at Tom's Guide have sat down with 23-inch 3D displays from Acer (GD235HZ) and Alienware (OptX AW2310) and sought to figure which one offers the better gaming experience. After some sobering notes about the need for a high end system to run 3D games — NVIDIA's 3D Vision solution renders each scene twice, meaning you'll need as ……

with Atom N450 processor, 10.1-inch ThinkPad X100e surfaces
Posted by thumpad.com in General, Portable device. on February 22, 2010
Well, here's a bit of an interesting development. While we've been seeing Lenovo's ThinkPad X100e out and about for a while now, it's always been with an AMD Neo processor and an 11.6-inch 1,366 x 768 display. According to a spec list that recently turned up on Lenovo's own site, however, it looks like the company may also have another version of the laptop in store that's even more netbook-like. That one not only includes a lower-res, 10.1-inch screen, but an Atom N450 ……
